These insects live in cracks and voids near areas frequented by people, usually in bedrooms or other sites where a person might sit or rest for long periods of time. The most severe infestations often occur in rooms or buildings with poor sanitation, but bed bugs can be carried in and infest any building or home. They are increasingly more common in the United States, infesting hotel rooms, homes, and apartments.

    • Bed bugs are accomplished hitchhikers and are usually first carried into a home, apartment or hotel room by people, hiding in luggage, furniture, or other belongings.
    • Activity occurs primarily at night, and bed bugs are wary and shy.
    • Signs of infestations include blood stain fecal smears on bedding, walls, curtains and other light colored surfaces.
    • At first, bed bugs hide in the cracks, seams, and folds of mattresses, bedding, upholstery, and the bed frame or furniture itself. Picture frames, peeling wallpaper, and any area forming a crack can serve as a harborage, including at the ceiling level.
    • As the population increases, they move out into the rest of the room, harboring behind door frames, window frames, molding, under the edges of carpets, and rugs, and inside walls.
    • With larger numbers of insects or if poor control efforts have been used, bed bugs may become scattered within rooms and may move to adjacent areas.
    • Bed bugs may follow pipes or wires inside walls into other rooms or units, or they may crawl under baseboards and wall studs into neighboring rooms.
    • GUARANTEES

The Bugyman guarantees to control the bed bug infestation through the delivery of three to four treatments over two to three months or there will be no charge to the client for the following two months after completion of charged services.

The Bugyman guarantees to provide the client with additional service for covered pests, upon their request, between regular service visits at no additional cost to the client.

The Bugyman guarantees that our arrival to the clients’ home will be on time. We will be at their home within the confirmed time frame, or we will credit their account $5.00 for that days service.

    • INSPECTION AND SURVEY

The primary goal of an inspection is to locate as many bed bug hiding places, or “harborages”, as possible that will determine the number of rooms to be treated and other management activities. This leads to the necessary “customization” of the various applications and other management efforts.

During the inspection the Field Representative must interview you by asking questions such as:

      • Show me all areas in each room that you see bed bugs.
      • How many bed bugs would you say are seen crawling about per night when you turn on the lights?
      • Have you had prior professional services to get rid of these bed bugs? What was the result of their work? When was your last service?
      • Have you personally attempted to control these bed bugs? What did you use? Where did you use the material? When was the last attempt?
    • SANITATION

The first aspect of the treatment phase is sanitation. Sanitation efforts will help eliminate clutter available to the bed bug population, which will lead to better control results. Sanitation not only involves various types of cleaning procedures to remove unnecessary clutter, it also involves the elimination of bed bug harborage areas.

    • TREATMENT

In order to provide the most effective control results, the use of several types and forms of active and inert ingredients will be used.

    • CLIENT EDUCATION AND FOLLOW-UP

Client education directly involves you. Sanitation procedures that should be applied will be stressed and made clear to you. Explanation of the programs’ details will help you see what is going into your service program, what can be expected to occur after each service and what you will need to do in order to contribute to the success of the program.

Follow-up will include letting you know the results of our findings, where you have witnessed less or more activity, and what is needed for the next application.
